Everything you can bring on board TUI Airways — sizes, weight and cost.
TUI Airways cabin baggage explained
TUI Airways keeps hand baggage simple: every passenger gets one 55 × 40 × 20 cm cabin bag up to 10 kg plus a small under-seat bag, with no fare-by-fare bag lottery to decode before you pack.
What your fare changes
The 55 × 40 × 20 cm, 10 kg cabin bag and the 40 × 30 × 20 cm small bag are included on all fares. Because TUI is largely a leisure and package carrier, the same allowance applies whether you booked flight-only or as part of a holiday.
What to check before you fly
The 10 kg weight is the usual sticking point, and holiday returns are often heavier than the outbound. The cabin bag is a fairly shallow 20 cm deep, so an over-stuffed soft bag can fail on depth even at the right height and width.
Full baggage allowance
| Allowance | Max size | Weight | Fare | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Personal item / under-seat | 40 × 30 × 20 cm 15.7 × 11.8 × 7.9 in | — | All fares | Free |
Cabin bag / carry-on | 55 × 40 × 20 cm 21.7 × 15.7 × 7.9 in | 10 kg | All fares | Free |
Worked bag-size example
Take a holiday cabin case measuring 54 × 39 × 19 cm and weighing 9 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 55 × 40 × 20 cm and 10 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 1 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
