Emirates cabin bag size
Everything you can bring on board Emirates — sizes, weight and cost.
Emirates cabin baggage explained
Emirates Economy uses one cabin-bag allowance rather than a separate published personal-item box. The same external dimensions apply in Premium Economy, while the weight rises from 7 kg to 10 kg.
What your fare changes
Economy includes one 55 × 38 × 22 cm bag up to 7 kg. Premium Economy permits one bag of the same size up to 10 kg. Business and First use a two-piece arrangement with separate briefcase, handbag or garment-bag conditions.
What to check before you fly
Departure-country rules matter: Emirates publishes a 10 kg exception for flights leaving Brazil and a 115 cm linear-size condition for Economy and Premium Economy customers boarding in India. Use the route shown in Manage Your Booking.
Full baggage allowance
| Allowance | Max size | Weight | Fare | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cabin bag / carry-on | 55 × 38 × 22 cm 21.7 × 15 × 8.7 in | 7 kg | Economy | Free |
Worked bag-size example
Take an Economy cabin bag measuring 54 × 37 × 21 cm and weighing 6.5 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 55 × 38 × 22 cm and 7 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.5 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
