Qatar Airways cabin bag size
Everything you can bring on board Qatar Airways — sizes, weight and cost.
Qatar Airways cabin baggage explained
Qatar Airways Economy includes one cabin bag across its fare families. Its box is shorter than the common European 55 cm cabin case, so height is often the decisive dimension.
What your fare changes
Economy allows one piece up to 7 kg and 50 × 37 × 25 cm. Flights to or from Brazil have a 10 kg Economy exception. Business and First generally receive two pieces with a combined 15 kg limit.
What to check before you fly
A separate laptop bag is treated as part of the cabin allowance, not automatically as a second free piece. Partner and codeshare journeys can follow different baggage rules, so inspect each operated segment.
Full baggage allowance
| Allowance | Max size | Weight | Fare | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Cabin bag / carry-on | 50 × 37 × 25 cm 19.7 × 14.6 × 9.8 in | 7 kg | Economy | Free |
Worked bag-size example
Take a short cabin bag measuring 49 × 36 × 24 cm and weighing 6.5 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 50 × 37 × 25 cm and 7 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.5 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
