Flybondi cabin baggage explained

Flybondi includes a 40 × 30 × 20 cm bag that goes under the seat. Its weight limit depends on the route: 6 kg on domestic flights and flights to or from Peru or Paraguay, but 10 kg on flights to or from Brazil. The larger overhead carry-on is a separate paid product and has its own 9 kg cap.

What your fare changes

The under-seat item is included in the ticket. To bring a 55 × 35 × 25 cm cabin bag, add the paid carry-on to the booking; Flybondi says its maximum is 9 kg and extra kilograms cannot be bought for that cabin piece. Our checker uses the stricter 6 kg free-bag limit so it does not mark an overweight domestic bag as safe.

What to check before you fly

Do not transfer the Brazil-specific 10 kg allowance to the paid overhead bag: that bag remains capped at 9 kg. The free item must fit under the seat, and the paid item is narrower at 35 cm than many 40 cm European carry-ons. Confirm the route and purchased extras in your reservation before travel.

The checker uses the 6 kg personal-item limit applying to domestic and Peru/Paraguay routes. Flights to and from Brazil allow 10 kg for the same box.

Report an outdated limit

Worked bag-size example

Take a free under-seat bag on a domestic flight measuring 39 × 29 × 19 cm and weighing 5.2 kg. Compare it with the personal-item limit of 40 × 30 × 20 cm and 6 kg.

Side-by-side calculation
40 − 39 = 1 cm · 30 − 29 = 1 cm · 20 − 19 = 1 cm

The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.8 kg.

We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.

Flybondi baggage FAQ

What size cabin bag can I take on Flybondi?+

Flybondi's free under-seat bag limit is 40 × 30 × 20 cm (15.7 × 11.8 × 7.9 in), up to 6 kg. Measure your bag including wheels and handles.

Does Flybondi include a free personal item?+

Yes — Flybondi lets you bring a personal item up to 40 × 30 × 20 cm that must fit under the seat in front of you at no extra cost.

How do I check if my bag fits Flybondi?+

Measure height, width and depth in cm or inches and enter them into the checker — you'll see instantly whether your bag fits Flybondi for free, is tight, or is over the limit, with the exact margin.

Why does the checker show 6 kg for Flybondi?+

Six kilograms is the published free-bag limit for domestic flights and journeys to or from Peru or Paraguay. Flybondi publishes 10 kg for the same under-seat size on journeys to or from Brazil; use your route-specific booking for that exception.

Is Flybondi’s overhead carry-on included?+

No. Flybondi describes the 55 × 35 × 25 cm, 9 kg carry-on as a paid addition to the free under-seat item. Check that it appears on your booking before arriving at the airport.

Can I pay for a heavier Flybondi cabin bag?+

The airline says extra kilograms cannot be purchased for its 9 kg cabin carry-on. If your bag exceeds that weight, check the hold-baggage options rather than assuming a cabin surcharge will solve it.
