Air France cabin bag size
Everything you can bring on board Air France — sizes, weight and cost.
Air France cabin baggage explained
Air France Economy always includes one small bag, but the main hand-baggage piece depends on the fare. The two pieces share a combined weight ceiling when the larger one is included or purchased.
What your fare changes
The small bag is 40 × 30 × 15 cm. Economy fares other than Basic can include one 55 × 35 × 25 cm hand-baggage item; Basic customers can purchase that option. The combined Economy allowance is up to 12 kg.
What to check before you fly
The 35 cm width is stricter than the 40 cm used by many European carriers. Include pockets, wheels and handles, then weigh the small bag together with the larger bag. Partner-operated segments may use a different policy.

Worked bag-size example
Take a soft cabin bag measuring 54 × 34 × 24 cm and weighing 10 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 55 × 35 × 25 cm and 12 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 2 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
