LOT Polish Airlines cabin bag size
Everything you can bring on board LOT Polish Airlines — sizes, weight and cost.
LOT Polish Airlines cabin baggage explained
LOT separates a standard 8 kg carry-on from a light 2 kg personal item. The smaller item is particularly shallow, so a laptop bag can fail on depth even when its height and width look compact.
What your fare changes
Economy passengers can bring one 55 × 40 × 23 cm carry-on weighing up to 8 kg. LOT also allows one personal item up to 40 × 35 × 12 cm and 2 kg. Premium Economy and Business can have higher piece or weight entitlements, so use the booking for those cabins.
What to check before you fly
LOT also publishes a 118 cm total-dimensions condition for the standard carry-on. The listed 55 + 40 + 23 cm equals 118 cm exactly. For the personal item, the 12 cm depth and 2 kg limit are usually the constraints to check first.
Full baggage allowance
| Allowance | Max size | Weight | Fare | Cost |

Cabin bag / carry-on One 8 kg carry-on is included in Economy; higher cabins have larger entitlements. | 55 × 40 × 23 cm 21.7 × 15.7 × 9.1 in | 8 kg | All Economy fares | Free |
Worked bag-size example
Take a European cabin suitcase measuring 54 × 39 × 22 cm and weighing 7.5 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 55 × 40 × 23 cm and 8 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.5 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
