Air Serbia cabin baggage explained

Air Serbia includes an overhead cabin bag even with Economy Light. It also permits a separate small personal item, but the current public baggage page gives that item a 4 kg weight limit and under-seat placement without a fixed three-dimension box. We therefore do not invent a numerical personal-item size for the checker.

What your fare changes

On flights within Europe and between Europe and the Middle East, Economy Light, Standard and Comfort each include one 55 × 40 × 23 cm hand-luggage piece up to 8 kg. The checked-bag entitlement changes by fare; it does not change that cabin-bag box. Business All Inclusive allows two 8 kg hand-luggage pieces on those routes.

What to check before you fly

The additional small item must fit under the seat and weigh no more than 4 kg. An Air Serbia-compliant overhead bag can still be moved to the hold when cabin space runs out; keep documents, medication and spare lithium batteries with you. On a flight operated by a partner airline, check that operating carrier’s cabin rules.

Separate small personal item: free, up to 4 kg, placed under the seat. Air Serbia’s current public baggage page does not state a fixed three-side size for it, so this item is described here but excluded from numerical fit results.

Worked bag-size example

Take an Economy overhead bag measuring 54 × 39 × 22 cm and weighing 7.2 kg. Compare it with the cabin-bag limit of 55 × 40 × 23 cm and 8 kg.

Side-by-side calculation
55 − 54 = 1 cm · 40 − 39 = 1 cm · 23 − 22 = 1 cm

The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.8 kg.

We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
