Norwegian cabin baggage explained
Norwegian uses the same under-seat size across its economy tickets, but the overhead bag and the combined weight change by fare. This makes ticket type as important as the physical bag size.
What your fare changes
LowFare includes only a 40 × 30 × 20 cm under-seat bag, up to 10 kg. LowFare+ adds a 55 × 40 × 23 cm overhead bag but keeps a 10 kg combined limit. Flex includes both pieces with a 15 kg combined limit.
What to check before you fly
When two bags are included, add their weights together. A 7 kg trolley plus a 4 kg backpack is 11 kg and therefore exceeds the LowFare+ combined ceiling even though neither bag seems heavy on its own.

Worked bag-size example
Take a packed LowFare under-seat bag measuring 40 × 30 × 20 cm and weighing 9.8 kg. Compare it with the personal-item limit of 40 × 30 × 20 cm and 10 kg.
The smallest dimensional margin is 0 cm, so the bag is exactly on or very close to the size limit. Its weight margin is 0.2 kg.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
