Volotea cabin bag size
Everything you can bring on board Volotea — sizes, weight and cost.
Volotea cabin baggage explained
Volotea includes a 40 × 30 × 20 cm bag that fits under the seat on every fare. The larger 55 × 40 × 20 cm cabin bag up to 10 kg needs Priority or a paid add-on, so the cheapest fare is a one-small-bag ticket.
What your fare changes
The free small bag is 40 × 30 × 20 cm on all fares. The 55 × 40 × 20 cm cabin bag up to 10 kg is included with Priority or added as a paid option. Check the baggage line in your reservation before assuming an overhead trolley is included.
What to check before you fly
Without Priority there is no free overhead trolley, only the under-seat bag. The cabin bag is a shallow 20 cm deep, so an over-packed soft bag can fail on depth. Measure the packed bag with wheels, handles and pockets included.
Full baggage allowance
| Allowance | Max size | Weight | Fare | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Personal item / under-seat | 40 × 30 × 20 cm 15.7 × 11.8 × 7.9 in | — | All fares | Free |
Cabin bag / carry-on | 55 × 40 × 20 cm 21.7 × 15.7 × 7.9 in | 10 kg | Priority add-on | Paid / add-on |
Worked bag-size example
Take a free under-seat bag measuring 39 × 29 × 19 cm. Compare it with the personal-item limit of 40 × 30 × 20 cm.
The smallest dimensional margin is 1 cm, so the bag is within the size limit.
We compare the three outside edges after orientation, including protruding parts. A result with less than 0.5 cm of clearance is marked tight because measuring and packing can change the real size.
